How to Combine Capital One Miles Between Accounts

Miles earned on Spark and Venture cards are worth the same and can be redeemed in the same way. Combining miles is straightforward:

  1. Log into your account: Access the dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the "Rewards" page: Click the “Rewards Miles” button.
  3. Move Rewards: Go to the “Move Rewards” section.
  4. Select the cards: Choose the cards you want to transfer miles between.
  5. Transfer Miles: Decide how many miles to transfer.
  6. Confirmation: The miles will appear instantly in the receiving account.

You can transfer miles back and forth without affecting expiration. If you have multiple Capital One cards, transfer your miles before closing an account to avoid losing them.

If you have the Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Spark Cash Plus, you can convert rewards into miles. Each cent of cashback can be converted into one Capital One mile.

How to Share Capital One Miles with Others

You can share Capital One miles with other cardmembers at no cost:

  • Share an unlimited number of miles with Venture or Spark cardmembers.
  • No requirement for the recipient to live at the same address or be a family member.
  • No additional expiration policies or major restrictions.

To transfer miles, call Capital One, as this option isn’t currently available online. This feature is valuable for transferring miles to another loyalty account, combining miles for rewards, or preserving miles before closing a card.

Bottom Line

Capital One’s mileage currency is becoming more mainstream with the popularity of the Venture X Card and Venture X Business. The above guide offers a useful rundown of transferring, combining, and sharing Capital One miles. The ease of transferring miles to airline and hotel partners, along with the ability to transfer miles to other cardmembers, sets Capital One miles apart from other rewards programs.
