Chase Ultimate Rewards® points are incredibly versatile. You can use them for cash back, concert tickets, and even travel. Here’s how to make the most of your points.

Which Chase Cards Let You Transfer Points?

The Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Preferred®, and Ink Business Preferred® cards allow you to transfer points to travel partners. Some partners even offer bonus points when you transfer, helping you save on flights and hotels.

How to Check if Your Points Can Be Transferred

  1. Sign in to the Ultimate Rewards portal.
  2. Find the "Transfer to Travel Partners" section.
  3. See which partners you can transfer points to.

You can combine these transferred points with miles from partner airlines. If you don’t have an account with the airline or hotel, you’ll need to set one up first. Check how many miles you need for your trip before transferring.

How to Earn Ultimate Rewards Points

Use your Chase credit cards to earn points. Some cards give extra points for specific purchases, like at grocery stores.

How to Transfer Ultimate Rewards Points

  1. Log in to your Chase account.
  2. Click on “Redeem Rewards” in the dashboard.
  3. Choose to transfer points to another card or a travel partner.

Points can be transferred in 1,000-point increments. Remember, all transfers are final. You can also combine points from different Ultimate Rewards accounts you have.

How Long Do Transfers Take?

After you transfer points, they should appear in a few business days. Quick transfers help you book flights before seats run out.

There is no actual difference. By law, a freeze needs to be offered for free. Experian wants to charge you so they offer a freeze for free but for a lock they want you to pay a membership. They both do the same thing
